Event Description We have 25 places for the Great North Run – the most iconic half-marathon on the planet!
54,000 runners, atmosphere, dedication, passion, fun – you’ll experience it all at the world’s largest half-marathon. To apply for your place in the draw to win one of these places, you must commit to raising at least £250 for the great charity ‘Get Kids Going!’ Please email Kate Newberry at kate.newberry@cssc.co.uk if you would like to express a firm interest in gaining a place, or write to her at CSSC Sports and Leisure, 7/8 Buckingham Place, Bellfield Road, High Wycombe HP13 5HW.
Closing date: 31 March 2010. Winners will be notified in April. ‘Get Kids Going!’ is a national charity which gives disabled children and young people - up to the age of 26 years – the opportunity of participating in sport, by providing specialist equipment, training and support, and who knows, maybe even becoming Paralympics champions!
On winning your place in the Great North Run, your race entry fee will be paid for you. However, CSSC centrally is unable to pay for travel to the event or accommodation (if needed), although your respective Area Association and/or Departmental Association may be able to help.
