Event Description Dickens World – Chatham
There are still tickets available for the visit to “Dickens World”, Chatham, Kent on Saturday 18 September 2010.
Dickens World has an assortment of attractions to keep the whole family entertained. Jump on board the “Great Expectations Boat Ride” for splashing good fun, take a trip back in time to a “Victorian School” complete with nasty schoolmaster or get spooked in “The Haunted House” of 1859.
Visitors will get the chance to come face to face with some of Dickens’ literary characters in their magnificent rendition of a Victorian town courtyard. Once you have finished your tour of Dickens World then why not finish your day off by shopping at the “Dockside Factory Outlet Centre” where there are around 40 shops to choose from.
The coach will depart from OGC, Rosebery Court, St. Andrews Business Park, Norwich at 8.00 to arrive for entry to Dickens World at 12.00, departing Chatham at 18.00.
The cost for members/associate members will be £10 for adults and Senior Citizens, £6 for children between the ages of 5 and 15 years and £20 for non-members.
Alternatively, if you do not wish to visit the “Dickens World” complex, then why not have a look around the Chatham Historic Dockyard, with each individual paying their own admission. The cost of the coach, which will drop off and pick up at the Dockyard, will be free to members/associate members and £10 for non-members.
