Event Description Brooklands Museum
Brooklands is the Birthplace of British Motorsport and Aviation.
Saturday 4 September 2010
Brooklands is unique. The world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit, constructed at Weybridge, Surrey in 1907, was more than a great sporting arena.
Brooklands was the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation, home of Concorde and the site of many engineering and technological achievements throughout eight decades of the 20th century.
Visit the website www.brooklandsmuseum.com for full details of all exhibits.
A short walk away is Mercedes Benz World where you will find 3 floors full of all the cars you always wanted to own or drive. From the Smart Car upwards, they are all there to see, many of them you can sit in and try for size. Coach will leave DVLA (Lincoln Road) @ 9.00am, parking available. Returning from Brooklands @ 5.00pm.
