Beginners' Ballroom and Latin American Dance Classes

These are beginners' classes for those who are new to dancing. They follow on from the Ballroom Beginners' Night introduction to Modern Ballroom and Latin American Dancing, on Wednesday 5 October.

The classes begin on 12 October. They run from 6pm to 7pm. The cost of the autumn term to 7 December inclusive is £75. The cost of single (trial) class is £10. Payment is on arrival on the night.

The venue, at the heart of Whitehall, is the very central Abbey Centre, 34 Great Smith Street, Westminster SW1P 3BU.

Teaching will be by a top international competitor, Elena Plescenco.

Over the year, tuition is given in two principal disciplines: Ballroom and Latin American. The Ballroom section includes Slow Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot and Tango. The Latin American dances include Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Jive, Rock and Roll and Samba.

Photographs will be taken at the event and may be used in future publicity. By attending, participants agree to be photographed for this purpose.

The classes lead to a splendid Christmas dinner and dance party with a programme of ice-breakers, games, competitions, prizes and a professional cabaret demonstration of Ballroom and Latin dancing.
