Event Description

This is a friendly social dance event for those who know Ballroom and Latin.

It takes place at the Civil Service Recreation Centre, 1 Chadwick Street, Westminster SW1P 2EP. Men invite ladies to dance. Where men are shy, vice versa is also possible!

Great hit for several years and bound to be so again this year.

Three course dinner:

Duck and pork pate avec le pain francais (or Sweet pumpkin and parsnip soup avec petit pain de beure)

Turkey with chicken, onion, sage and cranberry stuffing served with roast potatos and seasonal trimmings
(or Butternut squash and lentil stew)

Traditional Xmas pudding with brandy sauce
(or white chocolate and raspberry roulade)

NB. The alternatives in brackets need to be ordered at the time of booking otherwise everyone gets the turkey dinner!

A glass of wine is included with the meal. For additional drinks, there will be a cash bar. Chocolate mints, coffee & seasonal novelties are also included at the end of the meal.

Dancing will be to a Ballroom and Latin disco, including music from our own Cds. If you have any favorites of your own you would like to dance to, do bring them along.

There will be a programme of competitions, dancing ice-breakers and games on the night. There will also be prizes for the winners.

The dress code is smart for men and ladies can come as glamorous as they like!

There will also be a photography service, giving you the opportunity to buy professionally taken and printed photographs of the event on the night. This was very popular last year.

Payment to be made in cash or by cheque payable to the Modern Ballroom and Latin American Dance Class by or at the class on the evening of Wednesday 2 December at the centre. Thereafter, subject to availability.
