Event Description

The Beginners' Night introduction to Modern Ballroom and Latin American is an extended hour and a half class for those who are new to dancing. It is the now famous annual induction to the Modern Ballroom and Latin American Dance Class.

This year the event takes place on Wednesday 5 October at 6pm.

The venue, at the heart of Whitehall, is the very central Abbey Centre, 34 Great Smith Street, Westminster SW1P 3BU.

The cost of the evening is £15 per person and payment is on arrival.

The introductory class will cover the basics of the Waltz and Cha-Cha-Cha. There will also be an opportunity to practice your steps after the class. This will be in social dancing with fellow students and more experienced members of the class.

Teaching will be by a top international competitor, Elena Plescenco.

Beginners' Night is always a lot of fun! To request places, email the organiser, giving the names and email addresses for everyone attending.

Photographs will be taken at the event and may be used in future publicity. By attending you agree to be photographed for this purpose.

Those attending the induction will be able to sign up for classes starting in the following week, and available at an advance payment rate.

The classes will lead to a splendid Christmas dinner and dance party with a programme of ice-breakers, games, competitions, prizes and a professional cabaret demonstration of Ballroom and Latin.
