The Ladies' Civil Service Bowling Competition took place on Sunday 29th May 2011 at 
Shawlands Bowling Club, Glasgow. This year's competition attracted many new members,
27 participated.
A wide variety of players of all ages enjoyed the challenges and fun of learning to play bowls, alongside some established bowlers who fancied a change of scenery from their usual bowling clubs.
An early meet and greet with traditional roll and sausage at 10:30 am ensured all teams were formed and any loaned equipment was sorted and all shoes and bowls fitted to new players. After 3 games (15 ends) our volunteers provided a superb lunch which was very much appreciated by all. Then the winners of the 2 sections played in the final.
