Men's Rep Match - CSSC Vs. Potteries

Sunday September 13 2009 at Meir b.c., Stoke

The CSSC team had a bad start on a very tricky green at Meir b.c, Stoke, losing five of the first six games. However, a great recovery from the remaining bowlers gained CSSC a close win by 5 chalks at the end, to retain the trophy won in 2008.

Tony Garmson's (MOD Telford) 21-7 win in the first games kept the Potteries winning margin down, to enable the good wins from Dennis Thorpe (Retired Leigh) 21-6, Iain Taylor (Mod Telford) 21-5, Martin Williams (DWP Telford) 21-16, and finally an excellent display of corner bowling from Mark ireland (21-11) to secure a hard fought win for CSSC.
