Comberbach b.c. in leafy Cheshire was the venue for the annual challenge match against the Federation Ladies select side.

On a warm, sunny day the match was a close run affair throughout, with the visitors just edging the final result in the closing game of the day, with the final score of 212-221, the CSSC team losing out by 9 chalks.

Veronica Lyon (Whiston) had the best of the CSSC scores, winning her game 21-6.
