CSSC LADIES v FEDERATION

The annual CSSC Ladies rep match against the Federation Ladies Select side took place at Comberbach b.c. Cheshire, on Sunday 26 May.

This match has a history of very close finishes, and true to form this fourth meeting between the two sides was no exception, with the CSSC Team taking the trophy for the first time, with the closest of margins by 3 chalks 208-205.

On a very hot sunny day, the bowling on a fast running green was top class and nail biting, with the scores level, it depended on the last match on the green, and Kerry Brown held her nerve to defeat Rita Manning 21-18 for the CSSC to be the winners of one of the best games between the sides so far.

At the end, Jackie Butterworth the CSSC Captain took the trophy presented to her by Christine Ellis the Federation captain.
